The Friendzies are a high energy family friendly children’s band from Memphis Tennessee.  The Friendzies were formed in 2010 by Memphis musicians Sean Richardson and Mark Siebert.  Along with Mark and Sean The Friendzies include singer Mike Nabers, bassist Derek Daily, and keyboardist Isaac Lake.  The Friendzies are quickly becoming a Memphis favorite and became the official children’s house band for the Memphis Botanic Garden’s education department in March of 2010.  Other credits include the Children’s Museum of Memphis, Shelby Farms Park Conservancy, Village Toymaker, Jamming to the Music; Spring Fest 2011,  Down to Earth: Earth Fest 2011, Family Egg Hunt 2011, Daffodil Dash 2011, Germantown Performance Arts Center, Pink Palace Museum, and Backyard Bash 2011.

Memphis Botanic Garden contracted with The Friendzies for several of our Spring programs this year. We could not have expected a better experience. Their enthusiasm was contagious. At our Easter Egg Hunt families were all smiles as the band played their fun, interactive set. Kids and the kids at heart were all up dancing to the music and having a blast!
For our school programs they performed a fun set that let the kids unwind while they were away from school. The songs led into silly laughter and smiles!
They created such a fun and magical setting for both of our events!
The Friendzies were such a popular attraction at our events that we are planning a Schools Out concert with the band in our Children’s Garden. This will be the first Kids Garden Concert and we can’t wait!
Not only was the band a great experience for the visitors they were so easygoing and great to work with. They were always on time and respectful of our grounds with their set-up and break down. We would encourage anyone looking for a fun family friendly band to contract with The Friendzies. We look forward to many more events with our new “house band”!
